How this works

The NSW Food Authority publishes penalty notices for food businesses, but each one comes off its register 12 months after it was first eligible for publication. This site keeps them.

It rebuilds the register from copies saved by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine since 2008, plus the current live register. Each notice links back to the archived page it came from.

Search by business name, suburb, postcode or offence, and filter by date or council.

Some notices show only the business, suburb and date. The fine and street address appear once the archived notice page has been read, which is still in progress.

Years with few archive copies (2010, and 2012 to 2013) are incomplete, and notices removed between copies can't be recovered.

A penalty notice is not a conviction. Paying one is not an admission of liability. Details are as published by the issuing agency. Unofficial, not affiliated with the NSW Food Authority.

Addresses matched to G-NAF. A point marks the address on the notice, not proof the business is still there.
